This was a small project that was introducing new functionality between WestLaw and Checkpoint. Checkpoint is Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting software. Users that had plans with both tools wanted a way to show content from the other when available in certain contexts. Although it seemed like a small request, it carried implications for a large percentage of our users. After reviewing the requirements and going back and forth with the business teams in simple brainstorming meetings, I created wireframes as shown here. This is the first revision and is what ultimately ended up being implemented.

The designs above are the final drafts before proceeding to the front-end team for implementation. A simple HTML prototype was created to show the sequence and desired transitional behavior for both the user test group as well as the front-end team.
